Day 1 Update


Things are going pretty well so far, just knocking out more of the bugs listed by the community, pretty much have most everything knocked out, but I know there are additional bugs lurking around. Ideally there will be a week or so of more detailed bugfixing and improving quality-of-life, after which I'll be pivoting to a huge art-pass, then moving forward with the overall game!

I would like to at some point relatively soon start working on a UI update as I think the UI is definitely something that needs improvement, but overall I'm just going to be playing it by ear and working mostly on bugfixing and whatnot!

Changelist:

  • increased size of death collider & increased number of them around edges of map
  • hopefully fixed a rare item pickup bug that could throw errors
  • added dismiss button to notification popouts
  • actually programmed out the dismiss functionality in the notification slider
  • fixed incorrect text display in level up menu
  • fixed level up menu not disabling buttons when upgrades cannot be afforded
  • modified pricing for leveling up skills
  • added more readable pricing tags on each stat to let the player know prices
  • fixed issue with un-favoriting equipment not un-equipping it
  • fixed issue with un-favoriting not removing highlight on slot
  • made sure shields only block damage when the holder is blocking actively
  • made sure escape key does not close dialogue window
  • made space-bar pressing skip dialogue when relevant
  • modified camera to have a close-zoom functionality when inside houses
  • ^ (rigged up all the houses with the necessary collider for this)
