Day 24~25 Update


So yesterday I essentially burned a day chatting with everybody and couldn't focus as-is from staying up too late working on my new chatbot.. Didn't really get anything done at all except for making the realization that I needed to rework my camera movement (it's been stuttering and generally not as smooth as I'd like)

So during my evening I fully rewrote the way the camera /moves/ toward the player, and today I reworked the way it detects obstacles between the player and the camera. I basically had to invert the way I was thinking about accomplishing the camera movement, and as soon as I did so everything clicked into place and I got it up and running! So yeah, better camera movement is now in place, with just a few smaller issues to iron out!

Either way, not much in the changelog today, but hopefully this leads to way less issues with the camera.

Changelog:

  • completely reworked the camera movement system & obstruction detection
  • made sprinting capable of being toggled 
  • added toggle-sprinting setting & UI (still need to make sure it saves)
